Polyphony Digital is seeking developers for the next Gran Turismo
Polyphony Digital has significantly expanded its recruitment efforts for the next chapter of the Gran Turismo franchise. The studio currently lists 18 open positions, ranging from CG artists to QA testers, signaling that the project has transitioned from the conceptual phase into active production.
Studio founder Kazunori Yamauchi issued a personal appeal to prospective candidates, reflecting on the series’ 25-year legacy. While expressing profound gratitude for the community’s long-standing support, he noted that the studio’s existing achievements are merely a foundation for what is to come.
Yamauchi is seeking individuals with a creative drive to “forge the future through the intersection of art and technology.” Industry analysts suggest that the next Gran Turismo is likely being developed with the PlayStation 6 in mind. Such a strategy would enable the team to fully exploit next-generation hardware capabilities without the constraints of legacy systems—a philosophy that has long defined the series.
Given the escalating complexity and extended cycles of modern AAA game development, fans should not expect a release in the immediate future.
