Polish authorities criticized the postponement of GTA 6, calling Rockstar’s decision “scandalous” and “alarming”
The game is now set to launch on November 19, 2026 — not in May as had been previously promised.
Rockstar’s decision to push back the release of Grand Theft Auto VI has disappointed and angered not only millions of gamers but also Polish officials. Witold Tumanowicz, a lawmaker from the KWiN party (Confederation of Freedom and Independence), addressed the issue during a session of the Sejm.
In my parliamentary statement I must relay very troubling news: Rockstar Games has announced a postponement of the GTA VI release. This is a massive scandal. Frankly, I would not be surprised if people took to the streets in protest.
