Pokémon Pokopia Gets a 10-Minute Trailer
The Pokémon Company, Game Freak, and Koei Tecmo are collaborating on an unconventional title, Pokémon Pokopia. Launching March 5, 2026 as a Switch 2 exclusive, it presents a fresh take on the Pokémon universe.
At the center of the tale is Ditto, transformed into a girl. She encounters many familiar Pokémon — including Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur — who assist in altering the world around her. Ditto can copy their techniques and employ those acquired abilities to interact with the environment.
The developers have released an extended ten-minute gameplay trailer that highlights the core mechanics and the tasks Ditto will undertake to restore life to the ravaged landscape.
The once-empty region slowly comes back to life. As habitable areas appear, new Pokémon species begin to settle there. Because different creatures respond to different kinds of locations, players will need to cultivate a variety of activities. Ditto can master the abilities of Pokémon that populate these newly created zones, expanding her toolkit and enabling further progression.
