PlayStation Casts Doubt on 60 FPS Support for GTA VI
Sony has detailed Tempest 3D AudioTech, fast loading, and DualSense controller features for GTA VI while omitting any mention of a 60 FPS mode.
Sony has updated the official GTA VI page to highlight Tempest 3D audio support, fast loading, and DualSense controller features, but it left out any mention of a 60 FPS mode or PS5 Pro advantages.
The company reused the tagline “Play It Best on PS5” and added a section titled “How innovative features expand the possibilities of Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5.” This section highlights haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and the controller’s built-in speaker. These features aim to deepen immersion in the game world, although console owners are already familiar with them.

The lack of information about a performance mode raises questions. If Rockstar had managed to achieve 60 frames per second, it would serve as a major marketing argument for the game.
Earlier rumors suggested that the developers are actively optimizing GTA VI and that the PS5 Pro could deliver a higher frame rate. It is likely that Rockstar failed to reach that milestone, meaning such a mode might only appear on the PS6.
