Players Didn’t Believe the Creators of Breathedge Were Making an Evacuation Shooter — They Provided Proof

There will be moments in Canyons when players must make their way back home.

Recently, RedRuins Softworks — the studio many players recognize for the comedic title Breathedge — reminded everyone about Canyons.

The developers present Canyons as a PvE shooter — whether solo or in co-op for up to four players, you’ll pilot enormous Crawlers, launch raids, and expand your settlement:

Are you willing to risk everything for your convictions or for legendary prizes — or is it smarter to retreat home when the going gets tough? The decision is yours. There are no correct answers or beaten paths here, only a sophisticated procedural-generation system enhanced with hand-crafted details and distinctive events that keep the experience feeling alive time after time. No matter how valiant a crusader you are, one day you’ll have to return home…

To underline that the Canyons developers are the same team behind Breathedge, they posted a jokey toilet image in the Steam community.

Whoa — pew‑pews, cacti, and various flares and aberrations. You might insist it wasn’t made by us since there’s not a single toilet or chicken joke in it, but it really is us and it really is Canyons. We’ll publish the toilet gag as an image so we don’t spoil your anticipation. That’s the deal!
