Pixel Action Game Replaced Coming to Smartphones, First Teaser Released
More than 900,000 people have already played REPLACED, and the developers are now preparing a release on Android.
Publisher Thunderful Games and developer Sad Cat Studios have announced a mobile version of REPLACED, the highly acclaimed cyberpunk action platformer. The game will launch on Android on December 8, 2026, and pre-registration is already open on Google Play. Alongside the announcement, the developers released the first teaser.
REPLACED is set in an alternative 1980s America that survived a nuclear disaster and fell under the control of the Phoenix corporation. The main character is Reach, an artificial intelligence that becomes trapped inside the body of its creator, Warren Marsh, following a laboratory accident. Reach must now figure out what is happening, restore Warren’s control over his own body, and find a way back into the system.
One of the defining features of REPLACED is its visual style, which combines pixel art with volumetric lighting and cinematic staging. Players will explore environments, solve puzzles, overcome obstacles, and engage in combat featuring a system inspired by the Batman: Arkham series.
REPLACED was released on PC and Xbox Series on April 14, 2026, and immediately joined Game Pass. Since then, it has been played by over 900,000 people across all platforms, and the share of positive reviews on Steam has reached 85%.
