El Paso, Elsewhere 2: Vampire Shooter Sequel Demo Available Now Alongside New Trailer
Acclaimed developer Strange Scaffold—the creative force behind I Am Your Beast and TMNT: Tactical Takedown—has unleashed a gripping new trailer for El Paso, Elsewhere 2, showcasing its signature, adrenaline-fueled third-person vampire hunting. Eager fans don’t have to wait to dive into the action, as a playable demo is available now on Steam.
Serving as the direct continuation of 2023’s breakout supernatural hit (which is currently slated for a television adaptation, courtesy of GameSpot), the sequel reunites players with brooding hero James Savage. He must once again traverse the shadowy underbelly of America to annihilate malevolent entities—ranging from bloodthirsty vampires and gargoyles to sentient animatronics—and seal away the forces of darkness. According to Strange Scaffold, Savage is pushed to the brink after a devastating betrayal by a trusted confidant drags him straight into the Void to settle a harrowing debt with an Eldritch deity. As the press release notes, “He once killed the monster he loved to save the world. Now, he must save his betrayer to save himself.”

The newly launched Steam demo offers a taste of the carnage, dropping players into a single, early-campaign level set within an eerie, twisted fairytale forest. This preview introduces fresh firepower to the franchise, including the M16 assault rifle and an automatic shotgun, while tasking players with fending off witches, gargoyles, and vampires.
When the full version arrives, players can look forward to an expansive campaign featuring more than 20 distinct levels, 15 unique weapons, encounters with Frankenstein’s creation, and a deeply atmospheric “neo-noir tale of supernatural grief and redemption.”
Reflecting on the development philosophy, Strange Scaffold studio head Xalavier Nelson Jr. shared in a press release: “We looked back to the PS2 era not just for nostalgic inspiration, but for our core methodology. Just like the classics we grew up adoring, we are directly leveraging the foundation and assets of the original project to engineer a quantum leap in gameplay. The combat is significantly faster, more visceral, and vastly more agile, all unfolding within exponentially more intricate environments.”
El Paso, Elsewhere 2 is scheduled to launch next year across Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam.
