Marvel Studios May Revive ‘Werewolf by Night’
The head of Marvel Television hopes to return to the story of Jack Russell.
Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television and Animation, told ComicBook’s Chris Killian in an interview that he would like to make a sequel to Werewolf by Night. However, the project still needs to receive approval from Disney:
“I really love the special format. I was producing Marvel shorts even before we made Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. […] Shorts and specials allow you to do the same thing—explore some unusual corner of the universe. I love Werewolf by Night. I really want to do a second season or a second part—if Disney allows. […] We’ll see. You never know for sure. Any project has to go through development and take a specific shape. But I definitely want to make more projects like that.”

The first Werewolf by Night special premiered on Disney+ in 2022. It is a horror project styled after classic black-and-white monster hunter films, following a group of hunters who gather together after the death of their leader.
Gael García Bernal starred as the main character, Jack Russell, and the special was directed by composer Michael Giacchino, who is known for his work on the score for The Batman starring Robert Pattinson, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and dozens of video games, including the Medal of Honor and Call of Duty series.
