Julia Garner and Mark Foster separate after six years of marriage
Julia Garner and Foster the People frontman Mark Foster have decided to part ways, ending their marriage of more than six years. A source confirmed the separation to PEOPLE.
Although Garner and Foster first crossed paths at the Sundance Film Festival, their romance did not blossom until years later. The actress has previously shared that their connection was rekindled through social media, after the musician began engaging with her posts, eventually leading them to reconnect.
The pair became engaged in 2019 during a trip to Montana. According to Garner, Foster proposed by reciting a poem he had written specifically for her. They were wed that December at New York City Hall—a location of deep personal significance, as it was the same place where the actress’s parents had exchanged vows.
The circumstances surrounding their split remain private, and representatives for the couple have yet to issue a statement.
