Tomorrow marks the official launch of Peace for our Time. This update brings more than just Patch 1.18—it delivers an extensive array of refinements and adjustments. For those wishing to finish an ongoing campaign before updating, please refer to our instructions on rolling back your game version at the bottom of this post.
Balance
- Reduced faction contribution from war score from 0.125 to 0.1.
- Recalibrated naval war score; industrial capacity damage from sunk vessels has been halved to better align with land combat contributions.
Gameplay
- The Royal Indian revolt now triggers at >50% communist support.
- “Threaten the Princes” now generates 10% communist support.
- Introduced a “Shift + Click” shortcut on raid map icons to instantly prepare raids, streamlining your management.
- International market sales now default to listing the maximum available equipment.
- Spies now have a reduced capture chance; failing a mission typically forces them into hiding for 28 days, though they remain vulnerable to capture or elimination.
- Submarine detection now utilizes a revised formula, as seen in our recent open beta updates.
- Implemented a minimum taskforce engagement setting; strike forces can no longer be set to avoid engagement entirely.
- Integrated Train MIOs for the following nations: ENG, FRA, BEL, USA, SOV, ITA, JAP, and GER.
- Integrated Helicopter MIOs for BEL, USA, JAP, and GER.
- Corrected ship class assignments and updated missing entries for the 1936 and 1939 Japan naval Orders of Battle (Hatsuharu, Minekaze, Takao, and the IJN Yugao).
- In the division designer, improved medium tanks for Germany now correctly display as the best match instead of advanced tank models.
- Equipment override models are now granted higher priority within the division designer.
AI
- Italy is now more strategic, focusing on the defense of North Africa and the home front while prioritizing screen construction to sustain long-term naval engagements.
- Germany will now commit more forces to Operation Barbarossa and generally exhibit more cautious decision-making.
- Enhanced the United States’ efficiency in providing Lend-Lease aid to the UK and Soviet Union.
- The AI will now proactively cancel ineffective naval blockade operations.
- AI construction logic now accounts for local state construction speed to optimize factory output.
- Improved German management of MEFO bills.
- USA and Japan will now prioritize appointing a Chief of Navy.
- The AI will no longer offer Lend-Lease deals consisting of a single unit of equipment.
- Fixed an issue where naval AI inconsistently calculated fleet homebases.
- Resolved a bug where German submarines would attempt to target global regions.
- Corrected an issue where the UK was overly inefficient with convoy escort missions by assigning too many regions.
- Refined AI logic for redeploying air forces.
- Improved AI decision-making regarding division template updates.
- The AI now verifies the availability of special research facilities before attempting to construct duplicates.
- The UK is now more effective at defending Egypt and launching campaigns into Tripoli and Iraq.
- Italy will maintain a more consistent air presence in North Africa and avoid mindless reinforcement in sub-Saharan regions.
- Axis powers will reduce air focus in the Middle East while preparing for Barbarossa.
- Updated Italian infantry templates to better reflect historical configurations.
- Germany will now prioritize enacting the “Service by Requirement” conscription law prior to Operation Barbarossa.
- Adjusted AI research weights to better align with national priorities.
- Germany is now more likely to pursue the “Berlin-Moscow Axis” path if completely encircled.

- Added support for pp_spend_priority targeting for advisors.
- Enhanced error logging for stability checks to verify normalized ranges based on defines.
Bug Fixes
- Removed erroneous “Pledge for Allies” events.
- Resolved a crash occurring after resyncing from an OOS (Out of Sync) while in observer mode.
- Fixed an OOS error related to character names.
- Fixed an OOS error occurring for clients lacking the La Résistance DLC.
- Corrected a bug allowing the long-range sea operations bonus to be applied twice.
- Fixed various issues with incorrect division numbering.
- Resolved a rare CTD (Crash to Desktop) stemming from a faction race condition.
- Fixed a progression block in the Soviet focus tree involving the deaths of Aleksey Rykov and Nikolay Bukharin.
- Resolved an issue where Latvia could not trigger a Polish civil war despite tooltip indications.
- Fixed an OOS error during peace conference resolution and frequent hot-joining.
- Fixed a rare crash involving volunteers transferring when a civil war concludes.
- Fixed a bug preventing volunteers from landlocked countries from being resupplied.
- Resolved an issue where Railway Gun models failed to render.
- Fixed a co-op bug where simultaneous division modifications by multiple players failed to update templates correctly.
