Enhanced Save Management
- Robust Backup Architecture: We have introduced a revamped storage system to better protect your progress.
- Automated Backups: The game now triggers a save backup every 10 minutes, as well as during every standard exit.
- Cloud Sync Optimization: The save file structure has been overhauled to streamline cloud synchronization and reduce errors.
- Resilient Loading: Corrupted save files will no longer prevent the game from booting up.
- Data Recovery Interface: If the game detects a corrupted save at launch, a new recovery window will appear. This allows you to either exit the game to troubleshoot a cloud resync or restore your progress from the most recent functional backup.
- Seamless Migration: A new migration tool automatically upgrades legacy save files (pre-version 0.10.0.5.120-073042fb) to the modern format, typically without any player intervention.
- Conflict Resolution: In instances where legacy files are too corrupted to migrate, the game will notify you and provide an option to safely clear the affected files.
Additional Improvements
- Controller Mapping: Resolved an issue where the D-pad “Left” input was mistakenly triggering “Take All” within crafting station menus.
- Visual Updates: Refreshed the icon for the Wolf Head item.
Known Issues & Important Notes
- Legacy Character Deletion: Due to Steam Cloud synchronization constraints, characters created prior to version 0.10.0.4 currently cannot be deleted. We are actively working on a fix for a future patch.
- Settings Reset: Please note that your game settings will be reset following this update. We recommend manually backing up your configuration files if you wish to preserve them.
