Our latest update is officially live, bringing a focused suite of improvements, bug fixes, and rebalancing efforts to your gameplay experience.

We have addressed several critical issues hindering campaign progression and AI behavior, alongside vital corrections to creature and object statistics. Our networking architecture has also received significant attention, resulting in smoother lobby access, more reliable reconnection mechanics, and improved client synchronization. Furthermore, we’ve refined multiplayer timers, rebalanced the Diplomacy skill, adjusted Hive faction building costs, and polished several hero abilities. Localization errors across various languages have also been rectified.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to enhancing network performance and game balance. Your feedback and bug reports are invaluable to this process—thank you for helping us make the game better with every update.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved a crash occurring when rapidly loading multiple save files and accessing the Escape menu.
  • Fixed a progression blocker in the “Into the Woods” mission.
  • Corrected the Mountain Monastery object; it now properly grants +2 to hero attributes instead of +1.
  • Resolved rare AI behavior errors during siege encounters.
  • The recruitment UI now closes automatically once all available units are hired.
  • Fixed construction menu scaling issues on ultra-wide (21:9) monitors.
  • Restored missing tooltips in the neutral creature inspection window.
  • ⚠️ Experimental: Added preliminary support for peripheral device input. Note: Full controller support is not yet implemented.
  • The default AI difficulty in lobbies is now set to “Easy.” Please verify your lobby settings before starting a new match!
  • Corrected the Crystal Iriyad Defense stat (increased from 8 to 10).
  • Adjusted the cost of the Faun Warriors’ “Nature’s Fury” ability (1 → 2).
  • Fixed an issue where the “Children of the Wild” faction law failed to trigger.
  • Added a notification trigger for when artifacts are obtained from the “Crow Nest” object.
  • Fixed an issue causing AI players to hang during combat.
  • Corrected a stacking error where “Beelzebub’s Blessing” combined improperly with “Battle Frenzy” and “As Luck Would Have It,” causing unintended attribute spikes for Maniacal Reavers.
  • Clarified AoE attack tooltips to correctly indicate they only target enemy units.
  • The Infernal Hydra now correctly applies the “Weakening Venom” effect during its alternative attack.

Network

  • Optimized lobby connectivity and game initialization.
  • Enhanced the mid-game reconnection system.
  • Implemented a version-check system for friend invites to prevent desynchronization errors.
  • Improved filtering options for public (non-password protected) lobbies.
  • General stability improvements across all network-related systems.

Balance Adjustments

  • Multiplayer Timers:
    • Arena phase (hero, skill, and artifact selection) extended from 5 to 6 minutes.
    • Single Hero mode PvE combat timer reduced by 5 seconds; however, daily and weekly bonus timers have been increased by 15 and 30 seconds, respectively.
  • Diplomacy Skill:
    • Recruitment cost premium for joining creatures reduced from +100% to +50%.
    • Army composition and hero level now play a larger role in determining creature recruitment success.
    • Slightly lowered the army strength thresholds required to recruit “Hostile” squads.
  • Defense Towers: Damage output per constructed building increased from 10% to 15%.
  • Hive Faction Economy:
    • Chitinous Ziggurat: Gold cost adjusted 2250 → 3750; Crystals removed (5 → 0).
    • Burning Soul Burrows: Gold cost adjusted 4500 → 6000; Crystals adjusted 10 → 5.
  • Hero Skills:
    • Battle Magic: Attack/Defense bonus scaling increased from 15/20/25% to 15/25/35%.
    • Thaumaturgy: Mana cost for re-casting spells significantly reduced (from 150/125/100% to 100/75/50%).
    • Tactics: “One for All” attack bonus reduced from 3 to 2 per adjacent enemy.
    • Tactics: “All for One” defense bonus reduced from 3 to 2 per adjacent friendly unit.

Localization

  • Corrected the game title in Traditional Chinese.
  • Fixed the hero name “Le Ménestrel” in the French version.
  • Resolved a translation error within the Polish tutorial quest log.
  • Fixed ability description bugs for “Leeching Hop” (Hoplets/Dusk Hoplets) and the Lich Dragon.
  • Comprehensive pass on minor typos across all localized languages.
