Christopher Nolan’s epic feature, The Odyssey, has officially surpassed the $700 million mark at the global box office, reaching a total of $727.9 million. Industry reports confirm that the film achieved this milestone in just 13 days.

Domestically, the adaptation of Homer’s classic poem has pulled in $320.5 million, while international markets have contributed an additional $407.4 million. The film’s reach is set to expand further, with a highly anticipated debut in China—the world’s second-largest theatrical market—slated for August 14.

The Odyssey is well on its way to joining the elite “billion-dollar club” for the year, currently occupied by blockbusters such as Toy Story 5, Super Mario: Galactic Movie, and the Michael Jackson biopic, Michael. Screenings in Russia are scheduled to begin on July 30.

The film boasts a star-studded ensemble cast, including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron. Produced on a $250 million budget, Universal invested an additional $125 million into the film’s global marketing campaign.
