Obsidian Changes Avowed Plans — Players Will Have to Wait Until Next Year
Avowed fans who were expecting the autumn patch will have to exercise some patience.
The scheduled patch won’t arrive this year — though that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Avowed was meant to receive ongoing support from Obsidian Entertainment, but the last major update landed months ago and the features promised for autumn never appeared. The studio has now provided clarification.
The team that launched the game earlier this year announced that the October patch will not be released. The developers decided that all planned additions — including New Game Plus, a photo mode, and new weapon types — will be rolled into the annual update planned for February 2026.
