Not every project manages to reach release.
It was recently revealed that China’s NetEase has shut down another studio. Jackalyptic Games — led by the creator of DC Universe Online — has ceased operations.
Under Jack Emmert’s direction, Jackalyptic Games had been developing a Warhammer MMO, but that project has now been shelved.
Emmert announced the end of their work:
I want to share that after nearly three and a half years of collaboration with NetEase Games, our partnership has come to an end. We appreciate the support NetEase Games provided — both their resources and active involvement — throughout the development process.
