New Kirby Air Ride Amiibo Announced and King Dedede Release Date Revealed

Sword Kirby and King Dedede Amiibo for Kirby Air Riders on Switch 2

Following the November debut of Kirby Air Riders—the high-octane successor to the 2003 GameCube cult classic—enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting news regarding the previously revealed King Dedede (and Tank Star) amiibo. After months of anticipation, Nintendo has finally confirmed that the figure will arrive in stores on July 2. The announcement also brought a surprise for collectors: two additional amiibo are currently in development, featuring Sword Kirby (paired with the Dragoon) and the mysterious Noir Dedede (accompanied by the Hydra).

While official pricing for these upcoming figures remains under wraps, they are expected to follow the premium trend of earlier Kirby Air Riders releases, likely landing in the $40 to $50 range. Although King Dedede is firmly scheduled for a summer launch, Nintendo has yet to disclose specific release windows for the Sword Kirby and Noir Dedede sets.
