New Hunt: Showdown 1896 Event Turns the Shooter into Escape from Tarkov by Hiding Extraction and Supply Points
Crytek continues to push the boundaries of its signature gameplay loop with new experimental features.
Crytek has released a fresh trailer for the upcoming “Devil’s Path” event in Hunt: Showdown 1896. This update adopts a more hardcore approach reminiscent of extraction shooters like Escape from Tarkov, as supply caches and extraction zones will remain hidden at the start of each match.
However, navigating this new challenge is designed to be more accessible than its peers, offering players multiple strategic avenues to uncover the map’s secrets.
Hunters will either need to stumble upon these vital locations through manual exploration or locate specialized Scout Maps that reveal their coordinates.
Furthermore, extraction points will be automatically disclosed once a bounty is claimed, a boss is banished, or if a player utilizes “The Chariot” Tarot card.
The event also introduces “Scout Towers” as new points of interest. Two of these towers will spawn in every mission, providing interactive maps that pinpoint hidden caches. These towers also serve as loot hubs for new Tarot cards, custom ammunition, and various traits.
The “Devil’s Path” event is set to debut in Hunt: Showdown 1896 on March 18.
