New Halo will release on PS5 but not on Nintendo Switch 2 — leak

Rumors about the next Halo title indicate a significant widening of platform support. A new leak claims that Halo: Combat Evolved Remake will arrive on PS5 rather than on the Nintendo Switch 2.

According to Grunt.api — an insider and dataminer who previously predicted Halo Infinite’s multiplayer release date accurately — one of Halo Studios’ two new projects will be unveiled at the Halo World Championship and is expected to launch simultaneously on PS5 and Xbox.

That will be unwelcome news for Nintendo Switch 2 owners — Grunt.api’s findings contain no sign of a Nintendo release. The API references only two new Halo projects with PlayStation support.

Rebs Gaming, citing Grunt.api, specifies that the announcement is scheduled for Friday at the Halo World Championship. As with any leak, these claims should be approached cautiously until Halo Studios provides official confirmation.
