New Dark Medieval Action Game 1348 Ex Voto Faces Heavy Backlash
The outlook for 1348 Ex Voto is looking increasingly grim. Once hailed as a potential breakout hit capable of rivaling A Plague Tale: Innocence, the game’s recent demo has cast serious doubt on its ambitious promises.
Community discussions on Steam have fixated on the title’s subpar technical state. Players are reporting abysmal performance and erratic frame rates, with drops from 70 FPS down to a stuttering 10 FPS. The gameplay has also drawn sharp criticism; even within the brief demo, users have flagged stiff, primitive combat animations and a sense of mounting monotony.
The timing is particularly concerning as the official launch on PS5 and PC is only a few weeks away. Given the overwhelming wave of negative feedback and the near-total absence of positive impressions, a last-minute release delay is now a distinct possibility.
Furthermore, public interest appears to be tapering off. According to SteamDB metrics, the demo struggled to gain traction, reaching a lackluster peak of just 122 concurrent players.
