Ball x Pit’s “The Regal” Update Introduces New Roster and Features Next Week
Ball x Pit is poised for its first significant expansion, as developer Kenny Sun and Friends announced a substantial content drop scheduled for next week. Titled “The Regal,” this update promises to enrich the brick-breaking experience with a “wealth of content,” including fresh faces, new equipment, and hidden features.
Set to debut on Monday, January 26, The Regal expands the character lineup with two unique additions: The Carouser and The Falconer. As highlighted in a recent Steam community update, The Carouser features a mechanical twist where returning balls enter a localized orbit around him. Meanwhile, The Falconer utilizes two avian companions to strike and redirect balls across the playfield.
In addition to the new heroes, players can expect eight brand-new ball types and several unrevealed passive abilities. The development team is also keeping one major surprise under wraps until the update officially goes live. Fans can catch a glimpse of the new mechanics in a YouTube short showcasing the update in motion.
The Regal serves as the opening act for a trio of major post-launch updates slated for 2026. Following this January release, the “Shadow” and “Naturalist” updates are scheduled to arrive in April and July, respectively. The Regal will be available on all platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Nintendo Switch, and the Switch 2.
