“Mother Mary” starring Anne Hathaway gets digital release date

A24’s psychological horror-drama Mother Mary is set to arrive on international digital platforms on May 19, according to reports from WhenToStream.
The film features an ensemble cast including Anne Hathaway, Michaela Coel, Hunter Schafer, and FKA twigs, with David Lowery (The Green Knight) serving as both writer and director.
The story follows pop icon Mary (Hathaway) as she seeks to commission a new wardrobe ahead of a major tour. She reaches out to Sam (Coel), an estranged fashion designer and former friend with whom she severed ties a decade earlier following a public fallout. To reconcile their fractured relationship, the two women must confront lingering trauma and navigate the unsettling prospect of an exorcism.
The film has garnered a generally favorable reception from critics, currently holding a 72% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
