Some players believe that No Man’s Sky is a great fit for NVIDIA DLSS 5.

Various enthusiasts continue to experiment with the NVIDIA DLSS 5 library. Modern technology was recently tested in No Man’s Sky.

oskar1up published a gameplay example on social media. Some players, such as scottstts, expressed the opinion that No Man’s Sky is an “ideal game for DLSS 5.”

scottstts explained that No Man’s Sky does not feature human faces, avoiding any uncanny valley effect, while the game presents diverse nature and outer space where the capabilities of the technology can be fully utilized to “enhance the realism” of the visuals.

Martin Griffiths, a programmer at Hello Games, took notice of these discussions on social media. He stated that the potential task of officially adding NVIDIA DLSS 5 to No Man’s Sky would likely fall to him, as he was the one who implemented support for previous versions of DLSS.

The specialist noted that introducing such technology into the game is “not so much a technical decision as a matter of artistic direction”:

In this case, the question is not whether we can do it, but whether it will improve the image or, conversely, start blurring the unique visual style and atmosphere of No Man’s Sky.
