Playdigious has announced a mobile version of Darkest Dungeon II, bringing the grim roguelike from Red Hook Studios to Android and iOS in 2027. Alongside the announcement, the publisher released a first teaser and confirmed that the port will include the full campaign and the Kingdoms additional mode:

“The road to the Mountain is long and full of horrors, and in 2027 it will lead to your phone! Gather your party, equip the stagecoach, and journey across dying lands in a final desperate attempt to avert the apocalypse. However, the greatest dangers may lurk within…”

In the main campaign of Darkest Dungeon II, a party of four heroes travels by stagecoach through a decaying world toward a sinister Mountain in an effort to stop the apocalypse. Along the way, players must choose routes, gather supplies, and engage in turn-based combat. Accumulated stress affects hero behavior, and relationships between party members can develop into either friendship or hostility, which significantly complicates battles.

In the additional Kingdoms mode, players must defend the kingdom against an invasion, reinforce a network of inns, and manage multiple squads.

Enthusiasts previously released an unofficial Android version of the first Darkest Dungeon. The original Darkest Dungeon officially launched on mobile devices only for iPad in 2017, though it recently received an unofficial Android port as well.
