Minecraft to Receive Wilderness Bound Update Featuring New Biome and Single-Use Bed
Soon, players will be able to craft straw beds and much more.
Mojang Studios recently announced that the next major update for Minecraft is titled Wilderness Bound, previously known simply as the “26.3” update. Along with it, the developers plan to add a lot of new content to the game.
Minecraft will feature a new biome called the Dappled forest, a forest biome where players can find poplars with red, yellow, and orange leaves, as well as spruces. During their exploration, players will also be able to discover abandoned camps and jump across numerous mushroom patches.

Players will get the ability to craft a new single-use block, the straw bed. Such a bed allows you to skip the night in the Overworld without resetting your spawn point, but it will break when the player wakes up in the morning or gets up from it before falling asleep. From a wool slab, players will be able to craft a pillow that they can sit on.

The Minecraft developers have not yet specified a release date for the Wilderness Bound update. The update is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
