Megan Thee Stallion is reportedly on the mend following a health scare that forced her to exit a performance of Moulin Rouge! on Broadway. A representative confirmed to Billboard on Wednesday that the artist’s sudden departure mid-show was triggered by “severe physical exhaustion.”

“On Tuesday night, Megan was taken to a nearby medical facility for an emergency evaluation after manifesting alarming symptoms,” the spokesperson stated. “Physicians identified the primary causes as extreme fatigue, dehydration, low metabolic markers, and vasoconstriction. Megan has been treated and released, and is currently focused on her recovery.”

According to medical literature, vasoconstriction occurs when the muscles surrounding blood vessels tighten, narrowing the space for blood flow—a condition frequently linked to high levels of stress and physical strain.

The representative added that the hip-hop icon is “deeply moved by the prayers and support from her fans” and is eager to return to her role as Harold Zidler this Thursday.

The health update follows a tense evening at New York’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Spectators—who had come to see Megan’s acclaimed Broadway debut—were informed that the star would not finish the performance after she struggled through the opening numbers. At the time, her team noted she had become “suddenly ill” and required immediate clinical observation.

Her longtime hairstylist, Kellon Deryck, also reached out to the public during the crisis, posting a brief request on X: “Everyone say a prayer for Megan.”

Prior to this setback, the “Savage” rapper had been vocal about her enthusiasm for the stage. After her debut performance the previous week, she shared her excitement with her followers on Instagram, writing, “So grateful for this incredible cast and crew… Hotties, I’m on Broadway!”

In a recent interview, Megan reflected on the demanding nature of the theater, expressing her characteristic drive: “When the opportunity arose, I was all in. I didn’t care how many shows a day it took—I wanted to be here doing this.”
