Oscar nominee Matt Dillon (The House That Jack Built) has joined the cast of I Play Rocky, according to Deadline.
The film will chronicle the creation of the iconic sports drama Rocky. Dillon is set to portray Frank Stallone Sr., Sylvester Stallone’s father. The production also features Anthony Ippolito and Stephan James.
Peter Farrelly (Green Book) will direct, and Amazon MGM will handle distribution. A release date has not yet been announced.
This year Dillon appeared in Claire Denis’s festival drama The Fence.
