Mashd N Kutcher Releases McHappy Day 2025 Anthem

APRA Award-winning electronic outfit Mashd N Kutcher has unveiled an energetic new single created to support McHappy Day on Saturday, November 15, 2025 — the largest annual fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) in Australia.

The upbeat track was recorded with contributions from children and families staying at Ronald McDonald House in South Brisbane. It layers the familiar “ba da ba ba ba” McDonald’s motif over bright keys, driving drums, funky electric guitar and an expansive synth motif to produce a celebratory, feel-good anthem.

Matt James, MNK’s frontman, says visiting the House and meeting the families left a lasting impression. He describes the experience as inspiring — the resilience and warmth he saw influenced the song’s spirit and the hope is that the single will bring smiles and motivate donations for McHappy Day.

The recording and accompanying footage are already available on Mashd N Kutcher’s and McDonald’s Australia’s social channels. On November 15 the track will also be played across more than 1,000 McDonald’s restaurants nationwide.

James — a classically trained musician from Brisbane — was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2023. He and the group made a forceful comeback in 2024 with the full-length album Legacy, reaffirming their presence on the electronic music scene.

Mashd N Kutcher previously collaborated with McDonald’s in 2022, producing the “Ultimate Mix,” which accompanied the McFlurry with Cadbury’s campaign that year.

Since its inception in 1991, McHappy Day has raised more than A$79 million (approximately $51 million), funding RMHC programs that support over 69,000 families each year. To contribute directly, visit the official McHappy Day donation page.

Stream the single on Mashd N Kutcher’s platforms and catch the campaign footage embedded above and on the artist’s social channels.
