Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite’s story trailer is delightfully ridiculous

I do like it when writers attempt to concoct causes for characters from totally different fictional universes to beat the snot out of one another. The new story trailer for Marvel s. Capcom Infinite hasn’t let me down, because it’s delightfully ludicrous and but fully consistent with different crossover occasions.

Ok, so right here’s the thin: Ultron Sigma (one-part Ant-Man’s evil robotic, or Iron Man’s in case you’re going by the films, one-part Mega Man villain) has obtained his robotic claws on two of the notorious Infinity Stones, and he’s used their energy to mix the Marvel and Capcom universes, such as you do. Meanwhile, Darkstalker’s Jedah has, with the assistance of different ne’er-do-wells, created a Symbiote beast. Think Venom, however extra grouchy.

What’s a hero to do? Typically, they do one thing very foolish and free Thanos so he might help them get the remaining stones. Why wouldn’t you enlist the assistance of a purple dude who’s typically generally known as the Mad Titan? Judging by the trailer, nevertheless, not everyone seems to be down with the entire recruiting a supervillain with an obsession with demise. Captain America needs to make use of him, however Iron Man has different concepts.

The plot appears to be borrowing a terrific deal from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, combining Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers Infinity War, with loads of nods to different movies and comedian occasions. It’s dumb and I like it. It doesn’t appear to be drawing fairly as a lot from Capcom’s disparate franchises, although I did love seeing Mega Man’s Doctor Light giving a really severe briefing to Iron Man and pals.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is due out on September 19.
