MAPPA Reveals Premiere Date for Second Season of Anime “Hell’s Paradise” and Unveils New Visual
Gabimaru’s tale continues as it joins a packed winter lineup.
Studio MAPPA has revealed the premiere date for the second season of the anime Hell’s Paradise — the new episodes are scheduled to debut on January 11, 2026.
The first season, which aired in spring 2023, earned praise for its kinetic action, striking visuals, and a faithful adaptation of Yūji Kaku’s manga. The plot follows the ninja Gabimaru as he ventures to a mysterious island in search of the elixir of immortality.
Alongside the release date, the studio unveiled a new key visual and character art for four members of the Yamada Asaemon — Shugen, Jikki, Kiyomaru, and Isuzu.
Director Kaori Makita will return to lead production. Series composition is credited to Akira Kindaichi. Character designer Akitsugu Hisaki and composer Yoshiaki Dewa are also reprising their roles. New additions to the staff include cinematography director Chika Toda (known for work on the second season of Magical Battle) and art director Junichi Higashi (Love Live! Shine!!).
The second season will arrive amid a crowded winter anime slate: it will premiere alongside the third season of Magical Battle and the next installment of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
