Madelaine Petsch Wants to Play Poison Ivy in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman 2”

The Riverdale star has been trying for years to catch the director’s attention.

Actress Madelaine Petsch, known for Riverdale and the horror film The Strangers, has publicly declared her ambitions to play a supervillain. In a recent interview, Petsch revealed that the idea of portraying Pamela Isley — better known as Poison Ivy — has been on her mind for several years.

“We’re working on it. I actually dressed as Poison Ivy a few Halloweens ago — just to get noticed. It was sort of like, ‘Hey, Matt Reeves, do you even see me?’ The movie hasn’t been made yet, so who knows?”

Insiders say the script for the Robert Pattinson-led Batman sequel is already finished, and it likely doesn’t include Poison Ivy — at least not in Petsch’s portrayal. Matt Reeves previously indicated the antagonist in The Batman: Part II will be entirely new to the big screen, which sparked speculation about the possible return of Hush.

Still, some fans believe Petsch could find a place in the forthcoming The Brave and the Bold, a project rumored to adopt a more comic-book-driven, colorful tone — a clear contrast to Reeves’ darker, more grounded universe.
