Lumines Arise earned an 86% score on OpenCritic — a notable achievement for a logic-rhythm puzzle. Considering the series’ niche appeal, puzzle aficionados have little to worry about: the studio meets expectations.
Critics highlight the game’s hypnotic visuals, which are perfectly synchronized with the soundtrack, and its intuitive yet absorbing gameplay. The “square-composition” mechanic is easy to learn but requires precision and mastery at advanced levels.
