Lizzo Names the One Skill She Does Better Than Harry Styles: ‘Sorry, Harry!’
Lizzo recently sat down for a candid conversation about her inner circle of A-list companions—ranging from Harry Styles to SZA and Kehlani—during a guest appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show. An exclusive preview of the episode, debuting this Monday, showcases the “Special” singer in high spirits.
In the upcoming segment, the Yitty entrepreneur erupted into laughter when tasked with a difficult choice: who possesses the superior dance moves between herself and the One Direction alum? Lizzo acknowledged Styles’ impressive display of gravity-defying choreography in his “Aperture” music video, but she ultimately stood her ground.
“I’m going to have to claim that I throw a– better than Harry Styles,” she joked about her close friend, recalling their electrifying joint performance during his 2022 Coachella headline set. “No hard feelings, Harry!”
When the topic shifted to hypothetical musical collaborations, Lizzo had an instant answer ready. She revealed to Jennifer Hudson that she, SZA, and Kehlani once flirted with the idea of forming a group. “It would be straight punk rock,” she envisioned. “We’d all be rocking mohawks.”
Beyond the laughs, the four-time Grammy winner shared a deeper moment of mutual understanding with Hudson regarding the complexities of living in the spotlight. Lizzo also introduced the audience to her newest family member, an adorable puppy named Anastasia. This television appearance follows closely on the heels of her intimate residency at Los Angeles’ Blue Note Jazz Club, where she delivered six soul-stirring performances over a three-night span in late February.
On the recording front, the powerhouse vocalist has been relatively quiet since 2025. That year, she teased fans with tracks like “Love in Real Life” and “Still Bad,” which were intended for a project of the same name that remains shelved. Instead of the full-length LP, she surprised listeners with the June release of her mixtape, My Face Hurts From Smiling. Speaking with Vulture later that year, Lizzo explained that the original album didn’t align with her current headspace.
“I realized I needed to shift gears, even if I wasn’t entirely sure where I was headed. I just started trusting my gut,” she remarked. “I told my label that I needed to do things my way from here on out, and I needed their full support. It was a leap of faith, and they stepped up and told me they had my back.”
