Liam Payne‘s family has spoken out after the former One Direction member’ s fatality on Wednesday (Oct 16.
“We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we’ll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul,” the declaration shown the BBC on Thursday (Oct 17) claimed. “We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this awful time.”
Police in Argentina verified that the 31-year-old passed away after dropping from the 3rd tale of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, which led to “extremely serious injuries.” According to the Associated Press, authorities hurried to the resort soon after 5 p.m. regional time, after a supervisor called police to report that an “aggressive man” was “destroying the entire room.”
Tributes to the singer-songwriter started right away after information of his fatality. “RIP Liam… I can’t believe this is real… absolutely heartbreaking,” manufacturer Zedd tweeted, while rap artist Flavor Flav composed on X that the 31-year-old passed away “much too young.”
