The LEGO Group is slated to debut the first-ever official Mario minifigure in 2027. While it is currently unknown which specific sets will feature the iconic moustachioed plumber, it is highly anticipated that other beloved characters from the franchise will follow suit in this classic format.
On the heels of announcing the “Luigi and Mach 8” set designed for Mario Kart enthusiasts, the LEGO Group has finally showcased its inaugural official Mario minifigure, bringing the legendary platformer hero to life in traditional form.
In a teaser shared across social media, the diminutive hero is seen emerging from a green warp pipe, sporting his signature blue overalls and red cap.
While the specific set details are still under wraps, this reveal likely signals the beginning of a comprehensive Super Mario lineup featuring standard minifigures.
Unfortunately, LEGO representatives are not yet ready to disclose further particulars regarding the upcoming minifigure.
Since the figure won’t be available until 2027, Super Mario devotees, LEGO enthusiasts, and collectors will need to remain patient for more updates.
