Leak: AMD Preparing New Budget Ryzen 5 7500X3D Chip Based on Zen 4

Despite the continued momentum behind the Ryzen 9000 generation, AMD is still catering to more budget-conscious options.

It appears AMD has no plans to wind down the Zen 4 family and is preparing another chip — the Ryzen 5 7500X3D — featuring its proprietary 3D V-Cache technology for the AM5 platform.

The tip was spotlighted by well-known leaker momomo_us. On the British distributor Westcoast UK’s website he found an entry for a part with the code 100-000001904, a designation that doesn’t match any existing releases.

Reports suggest the Ryzen 5 7500X3D will be a pared-down variant of last year’s Ryzen 5 7600X3D, offering six cores and twelve threads. Exact specifications haven’t been published yet, but the chip is expected to include 96 MB of L3 cache (32 MB base + 64 MB additional 3D V-Cache) and operate at slightly lower clock speeds compared to its higher-end sibling.

The Ryzen 5 7500X3D is expected to be the most affordable 3D V-Cache option for the AM5 platform, aimed at mid-range gaming builds. Previously, the Ryzen 5 5500X3D served a similar role within AMD’s AM4 ecosystem.

Sources indicate an official reveal of the Ryzen 5 7500X3D could occur at CES 2026, where AMD is also likely to introduce higher-tier parts such as the Ryzen 7 9850X3D and Ryzen 9 9950X3D.
