Lady Gaga Stops Show to Help Fan in Medical Distress: “There Are Things More Important Than Show Business”

During her Tuesday stop in Antwerp, Mother Monster halted a performance to tend to a concertgoer who needed water and medical assistance. The interruption came while Gaga was seated at the piano delivering a pared-back rendition of “The Edge of Glory.”

A video shared to X shows Gaga pausing the song after members of the crowd called out for help. She asked the audience to remain quiet and instructed her team to bring water and escort the fan backstage so they could be cared for.

“Stop, stop. Is everyone OK?” she can be heard asking in the clip, urging patience while crew members attended to the person in distress. As the fan was guided away, Gaga called after them, “I hope you feel better.”

After ensuring the situation was being handled, she returned to the piano and resumed “Edge of Glory,” reminding the crowd between lines that some things are far more important than show business.

The Antwerp performance is one of the final European dates on the Mayhem Ball itinerary. Following a few French dates, Gaga is scheduled to wrap the 2025 run with shows in Australia, then resume the tour next year with dates in Japan and a final North American leg across the United States and Canada in February through April.

The concert came shortly after the Recording Academy revealed its 2026 Grammy nominations, where Gaga earned seven nominations — second only to Kendrick Lamar, who led with nine. Among her nods are song and record of the year for “Abracadabra,” and a nomination for album of the year for her Billboard 200-topping record, Mayhem.
