“Korean Splinter Cell” Cancelled? Layoffs Hit Mudang: Two Hearts Studio as Website Shuts Down

It appears the studio is grappling with serious internal difficulties.

Recently, players have turned their attention back to Mudang: Two Hearts, though the reason is far from celebratory. Fears are mounting that EVR Studio’s stealth-action title may be headed for cancellation.

Reports have surfaced online suggesting that the company has undergone extensive downsizing. According to data from a business tracker, the workforce has plummeted from over 100 staff members to a mere 22.

Industry observers also noted that the official website for the game initially went offline before being completely dismantled.

The developers’ YouTube channel has been dormant for some time, with the most recent footage for Mudang: Two Hearts appearing in August of last year.

A journalist from need4games reached out to insiders for further clarification:

“I have personally interviewed various sources and individuals connected to the studio, and the outlook is universally grim. One of EVR Studio’s investors informed me that the game must be delivered by the end of March 2026; otherwise, the fallout among shareholders will be severe, likely triggering a decisive emergency meeting.”
