Keanu Reeves has approved a draft of the Constantine 2 screenplay — it appears the project has already been forwarded to studio executives. The actor said he hopes this will mean the film finally moves into active development.
Earlier, Reeves reportedly rejected a previous version of the sequel’s script, according to Peter Stormare, who played Lucifer. While the project seems to be progressing toward production, no release date has been announced and it remains unclear whether producers have given it an official green light.
The 2005 film was adapted from the DC comic of the same name and follows John Constantine, a medium who can communicate with the spirit world.
