Kavinsky, composer of the ‘Drive’ soundtrack, has died

French DJ and electronic producer Kavinsky has passed away at the age of 51, according to media reports.

The musician, born Vincent Belorgey, was discovered deceased in his Paris apartment. Kavinsky achieved international acclaim for his iconic 2010 track “Nightcall,” which famously featured in Nicolas Winding Refn’s cult classic Drive and the legal thriller The Lincoln Lawyer, starring Matthew McConaughey.

Beyond his prolific musical career, Kavinsky also explored acting, appearing in films such as Quentin Dupieux’s Steak, Atomik Circus: Le retour de James Bataille, and Ultranova.
