Kacey Musgraves Surprise-Drops Two New Bonus Tracks for ‘Deeper Well’

If you found yourself wishing that Kacey Musgraves’ latest album, Middle of Nowhere, offered just a little more listening time, you’re in luck. The singer-songwriter has unveiled a special treat for her dedicated fanbase.

The country superstar, a recipient of eight Grammy Awards, launched her seventh studio effort, Middle of Nowhere, on May 1. While the standard digital and physical editions arrived with a solid 13-track collection, Musgraves surprised listeners on Tuesday (May 5) by dropping two additional bonus songs for those eager to expand their experience.

“The song that manifested Mexico Honey + my version of All My Exes,” Musgraves shared on Instagram while announcing the new additions. The tracks, titled “All My Exes (Kacey’s Version)” and “Caballero,” are currently exclusive to fans purchasing the digital album directly through her official website or via iTunes.

Middle of Nowhere serves as the follow-up to her 2024 project, Deeper Well, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. This new body of work delves deep into the complexities of solitude following a breakup. The record features notable collaborations with musical icons Willie Nelson, Gregory Alan Isakov, and Billy Strings. Additionally, fellow Texas native and country powerhouse Miranda Lambert appears on the album, marking a significant milestone that puts an end to a long-rumored, years-long rift between the two artists.

These bonus tracks mark just one of many surprises Musgraves has delivered lately. Shortly before the release of Middle of Nowhere, she made a last-minute addition to the Coachella lineup, marking her first appearance at the festival in seven years. The performance is a precursor to a busy year on the road; Musgraves is set to kick off her Middle of Nowhere Tour on August 21 in Chicago, with the run concluding in Seattle on October 27.
