Lorde quoted a Taylor Swift lyric on Thursday (Oct. 8) as she prepared for the final two performances of her *Virgin* album cycle.

Lorde shared a photo on her Instagram Story of a matcha drink carrier that reads “Thank you” on the side. She will play FORM Arcosanti in Arizona on Friday (Oct. 9) followed by Austin City Limits in Texas the next day. She stated that she felt the upcoming dates were an exit ceremony for this album.

“but it also feels like a beginning,” she continued. “I Can’t thank you enough for making this the most inspiring special tour i have ever been on, it was you and me all the way through. In capture it rmemeber [sic] it mode this weekend frrrrrrrrr.”

The phrase capture it, remember it originates from the title track of Swift’s 2008 sophomore album, *Fearless*. The two singers have been friends for many years, and fans considered Lorde part of Swift’s squad in the mid-2010s. The New Zealander wrote on X in 2017 that she was not a huge fan of the squad label, but added that Taylor had supported her through dark and light moments over the previous five years.
