Alanis Morissette announced her holiday album on Friday, Oct. 9, with a scheduled release date of Nov. 6 alongside the lead single “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem” featuring Brandi Carlile and Steve Martin.

Following years of releasing festive singles, the singer drops her first full-length holiday set containing 14 tracks. The album includes two original songs titled “Christmas on the Dancefloor” and “To An Empath at Christmas Time.” Collaborators on the project include Joy Oladokun on a cover of “Silent Night,” Amythyst Kiah on “Momma Mary,” and Trans Voices, which is the United Kingdom’s first professional vocal ensemble of trans and nonbinary singers, on “O Tannenbaum.”

“This record is just so sweet,” Morissette told Alex Cooper on Call Her Daddy in September before the formal album announcement. “It’s just been this labor of Christmas love for me.”

Morissette previously released her cover of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” in 2020, followed by “Little Drummer Boy” in 2022, “Last Christmas” in 2023, and “O Holy Night” in 2024. These seasonal covers appear on Good Weather for Immaculate Conception, arriving four years after her most recent LP, The Storm Before the Calm.
