It seems Kacey Musgraves is living up to the cosmic energy of her Instagram handle, @spaceykacey. The country star recently shared a startling account of a potential close encounter she witnessed while traveling by air.
On Friday (April 10), Musgraves took to her Instagram Story to recount a baffling “UFO experience” that occurred during a flight from Fort Worth, Texas, to Nashville. “I was just about to settle in for a nap when I noticed these lights that looked completely unnatural,” she explained. “There were three of them, and they were definitely moving in tandem.”
The singer-songwriter noted that her manager, Bobby, also bore witness to the phenomenon. “These orbs were behaving in ways no conventional craft should,” she added. “They were flickering in and out of view, shifting into triangular formations, and fluctuating in both brightness and color.”
Musgraves spent roughly 45 minutes tracking the lights as they appeared to shadow her flight from the airspace over Little Rock to her arrival. Perhaps most unsettling, she claimed that when she discussed the sightings with the flight crew, the pilots revealed that such occurrences were a recurring theme, stating, “We see these every single night.”
While the footage Musgraves shared to her feed is understandably grainy and difficult to decipher due to the nighttime conditions, the glowing points of interest dancing across the horizon are clearly visible.
Musgraves joins an expanding list of artists who have publicly shared their brushes with the unexplained. From Post Malone and Kesha to Demi Lovato’s 2020 excursions to Joshua Tree in search of extraterrestrial activity, the subject of UAPs remains a topic of genuine interest among industry peers. Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 has long been a vocal proponent of investigating these aerial mysteries as well.
Looking ahead, Musgraves is currently preparing for the May 1 release of her latest studio album, Middle of Nowhere, which features her recently released lead single, “Dry Spell.”
