Welcome to our June Community Update. As summer settles in, we are excited to pull back the curtain on what lies ahead for Space Marine 2. We have a lot of ground to cover—from early glimpses into Year 3 to the impending arrival of Patch 14. Since we will be skipping our July update, consider this your essential briefing before we return in late August. Let’s dive in!
We are thrilled to share the first details regarding the free content coming in Year 3:
- New Arsenal Additions: We are introducing two powerhouse weapons. First, the Absolvor Bolt Pistol, which will serve as the signature sidearm for an upcoming, mysterious new class—could it be a Chaplain, an Apothecary, or something entirely new? We’ll let you speculate for now. 🤫 Second, we are adding the One-Handed Thunder Hammer. While we previously signaled that a Greatsword was the focus for our next melee archetype, plans have evolved (though the blade may still find its way to you yet).
- Expanded Operations: Two formidable new bosses will be making their debut, appearing at the culmination of their respective Operations.
- Chaos Unleashed: For those who enjoy walking the path of the heretic, we are broadening your options. You will soon be able to wield characters previously restricted to PvP in an all-new “spin-off” mode for our Chaos Siege gameplay.
The Year 3 “Season Pass 3” will also deliver a suite of new Champions and aesthetic bundles, featuring both beloved returning Chapters and fresh faces:
- Space Wolves: Rejoice! Our first Year 3 Champion is a Wolf Guard outfitted with a classic round Stormshield, launching this September.
- Deathwatch: You asked, we listened. A dedicated Deathwatch Champion is officially on the way.
- Exorcists: This venerable Chapter is receiving a custom Cosmetic Pack.
- Class-Specific Champion: Much like our Techmarine release, one of the upcoming DLCs will be tied to the new playable class.
While we are currently pouring our energy into the massive scope of Patch 15, Patch 14 is just around the corner as a refined, focused update. It brings two brand-new PvP maps: Facility, located on the industrial world of Demerium, and Sanctum, set upon the battlefields of Avarax.

The Thousand Sons are gaining a dangerous new asset: the Scarab Occult Terminator Sorcerer. This high-tier threat will now emerge in all Chaos-themed Operations. Additionally, we are rolling out six new Heroic weapon variants, including the Stalker Bolt Rifle, Power Sword, and Power Fist.
Season Pass Content in Patch 14:
- Salamanders Champion Pack 2: A Heavy-class Champion featuring a unique, flame-tempered Multi-Melta skin.
- Raptors Cosmetic Pack: A comprehensive set including helmet, chestplate, pauldrons, and a custom cloak with a backpack-integrated variant.
Note: Steam players will have the chance to test these features on our Public Test Server in early July.
Following the news from the June Nintendo Direct, we are pleased to confirm that Space Marine 2 is headed to the Nintendo Switch 2! We are currently targeting a launch for the 2026 holiday season.
