Josh Hartnett, best known for his breakout role in Pearl Harbor, is set to headline the upcoming feature White Lies. According to Deadline, the film will be helmed by Academy Award-winning director Oliver Stone (Platoon).
The narrative centers on Jack Freeman, a man struggling with the lingering effects of his parents’ long-past divorce. Realizing he is trapped in the same toxic patterns within his own family, he embarks on a transformative odyssey of self-discovery.
In addition to directing, Stone penned the script for this formerly untitled project, marking his first narrative film since the 2016 release of Snowden. Hartnett is also slated to appear alongside Anne Hathaway in the thriller Mother Mary and will star in a new horror series for Netflix.
