Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo Named Prom King and Queen at Daughter’s “Under the Stars” Dance
The couple let loose and celebrated with family after a surprise prom-style party hosted by Jelly Roll’s daughter, Bailee.
Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie Xo, embraced their inner teenagers when they were crowned prom king and queen at a surprise dance organized by Jelly’s 17-year-old daughter, Bailee. The tender moment — captured in a heartwarming video the couple shared on Instagram — shows them dressed up, slow-dancing and wearing crowns as friends and family cheered them on.
In an Instagram post, Bunnie described the evening as a lesson in the value of time. She explained that, although Bailee has typically avoided school dances, the couple had always encouraged her to “go make memories” because neither of them attended dances growing up. The resulting celebration, Bunnie wrote, was their daughter’s way of giving them an experience they’d missed.
According to Bunnie, the party — which took place the night before Jelly Roll’s 41st birthday — left them stunned. “We walked into a room full of friends and family,” she wrote, describing a night Bailee titled “Under the Stars.” The teen organized a combined prom and birthday event, crowned her parents king and queen, and invited them to dance and sing like carefree teenagers.
“The takeaway?” Bunnie added. “Time is the most precious thing we own. Spend it on your people. The memories you make with them will outlive everything else.”
She later shared photographs of the couple at the dance: Bunnie in a white-and-blue floral gown and Jelly Roll in an all-black outfit topped with a cowboy hat. In a separate birthday tribute she wrote, “To the man I worship & admire… Loving you in all your eras is my favorite thing to do. Happy birthday my shooting star — I love youuuuu.”
Jelly Roll has two children from previous relationships: Bailee and her younger brother, Noah. Bailee has lived with Jelly and Bunnie under their care; Bunnie has spoken publicly about the role she played in helping Jelly secure custody, a topic he referenced in a 2023 Billboard cover story where he called her a “beacon of change.”
In that interview, Jelly Roll credited Bunnie with providing the stability and support that made it possible for him to obtain custody and rebuild his life after past legal troubles.
