Jane Foster’s Thor and More Iconic Characters Coming to Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Next Year

During EVO France, Arc System Works and Sony Interactive Entertainment pulled back the curtain on the complete Year 1 post-launch roadmap for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Rather than playing it safe with Thor Odinson, the developers delivered a pleasant surprise by introducing Jane Foster’s iteration of the God of Thunder to the tag-team fighter’s roster.

Who are the Year 1 DLC characters for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls?

Alongside Jane Foster’s debut, the reveal trailer outlined the entire initial season of downloadable fighters. Phoenix Cyclops leads the charge on November 2, paving the way for a 2027 rollout featuring Jane Foster’s Thor in the winter, Venom in the spring, and mutant fan-favorite Jubilee in the summer. Together, this diverse roster draws talent from every corner of the expansive Marvel canon.

While the showcase held back on active combat footage for Jane Foster, a cinematic tease places her directly at odds with Loki on the Asgard stage. This marks her second major video game appearance following her 2022 inclusion as a post-launch addition in Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers.

True to form, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls continues to defy expectations by favoring creative variants—such as Shuri’s Black Panther and the Phoenix Force-empowered Cyclops over their classic counterparts. Meanwhile, the inclusion of Venom offers a crowd-pleasing heavy hitter, arriving hand-in-hand with an atmospheric new Klyntar battle arena.

As a lifelong admirer of X-Men: The Animated Series and X-Men ’97, I am personally most thrilled about Jubilee entering the fray. Having already proven her worth as an absolute blast to play in Marvel Rivals, watching Arc System Works translate her explosive energy into their signature visual style promises to be a spectacle.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is currently available on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. To secure access to the complete Year 1 roster, players can purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition for $84.99 or opt for the base game paired with the $34.99 Year 1 Character and Stage Pass.
