Ayaneo NEXT 2 is not just a flagship device with a powerful processor — it’s a relatively large handheld that won’t fit into every modern gamer’s pocket.
Just last week Ayaneo unveiled a trailer for the portable flagship NEXT 2, which features an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, an exclusive oversized TMR joystick, Hall-effect linear triggers, an enlarged battery, and a floating 8-way D-pad.
However, the trailer didn’t provide a clear sense of the device’s scale. Frandroid cleared this up: one of their reporters visited Ayaneo’s office, spoke with company director Arthur Zhang, and recorded a video.
From certain frames, the NEXT 2 looks to be quite a large unit. Some gamers are already joking that they’ll need to hit the gym to handle this handheld comfortably — and fitting it in a pocket will be a challenge.
The full specification sheet for the Ayaneo NEXT 2 and the pre-order launch date have not yet been disclosed, so gamers will need to remain patient.
