IO Interactive Lowers Price of HITMAN: World of Assassination on iOS After a Wave of Criticism
The mobile edition of HITMAN: World of Assassination was sold at launch for twice the price of the PC version.
IO Interactive released HITMAN: World of Assassination on iOS on August 27, 2025, and the game’s launch price raised eyebrows. At release the App Store listed the title at $70, while the same collection could be purchased on PC for $30.
The price has since been reduced by $30 to $39.99, though it remains unclear whether that cut is permanent or a temporary promotion.
It’s also worth noting that the game demands a high-end Apple device: at launch even the iPhone 16 Pro Max showed frame-rate drops below 30 FPS in intense scenes. By contrast, iPhone 17 Pro Max owners report flawless performance on their hardware.
