The anticipation for Invincible Season 4 has finally reached a fever pitch as Amazon officially confirms its return date. Following a teaser at last year’s New York Comic Con, Prime Video has unveiled a high-octane trailer for the visceral animated superhero epic, locking in a March 18 premiere. This new chapter is set to elevate the stakes by introducing the comic’s most terrifying antagonist: the ruthless Thragg.

Portrayed by Lee Pace (Foundation, The Running Man), Thragg stands as the pinnacle of Viltrumite power. As the Grand Regent of the Viltrum Empire, he is not merely a conqueror but a warrior-monarch who has spent centuries perfecting the art of combat and governance. Unlike the impulsive soldiers Mark has encountered previously, Thragg is a cold, calculating strategist whose intellect is just as lethal as his planet-cracking strength, making him a monumental threat to the galaxy’s survival.

The latest footage also heralds the return of Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons), who has fully committed to his redemption arc by defying his own species. Alongside the ever-charismatic Allen the Alien (Seth Rogen), Nolan travels back to Earth to recruit his son, Mark (Steven Yeun), into the Coalition of Planets. This intergalactic alliance serves as the final line of defense against the relentless expansion of the Viltrumite war machine.

True to its established rhythm, the fourth season will balance grand narrative shifts with focused character vignettes. The trailer offers a glimpse of Mark’s showdown with the prehistoric powerhouse Dinosaurus (voiced by Matthew Rhys) and teases the arrival of Universa. Played by Danai Gurira, this mysterious cosmic traveler arrives on Earth with an agenda that is sure to complicate the Coalition’s plans.

With a multi-front war looming and the shadow of Thragg approaching, Mark Grayson will need more than just his father’s help to protect his world from total annihilation.

Invincible Season 4 arrives March 18, exclusively on Prime Video.
